Songwriting
Robert
has over 50 songs on file with the U.S. Copyright Office.
Until recently, most compositions have been latin, jazz, and funk instrumental tunes that feature bass and drum grooves. There is always space for the drum to play melodic solos and be a lead voice.

Robert
currently is also writing many songs and lyrics that are in the style of "tin pan alley". These are swing oriented and are 32 bar forms influenced by the 30's and 40's american popular song book. |
He
is currently performing in the musically diverse San Francisco Bay area as a drummer/singer. Many gigs are private events where his band is hired to play jazz and rock standards. This gives Robert an excellent opportunity to perform new original songs on very hip audiences. |
